Overview
Credit Insights gives you free access to your credit information directly in your Upstart account. You can view your credit score, track changes over time, and see key factors that may be impacting your credit.
With Credit Insights, you can:
- View your current credit score and recent changes
- Track trends in your credit over time
- See factors that may be helping or hurting your score
- Monitor account balances and activity
Credit Insights is designed to help you better understand your credit and stay informed about changes.
💡Please note that this feature is currently not available on the Upstart mobile app.
How to access Credit Insights
You can access Credit Insights through your Upstart account:
- Log in to My Account.
- Look for the Credit Insights section on your dashboard.
- Select View Details to open your Credit Insights page.
If you haven’t activated Credit Insights yet, you may see an option to Activate Credit Insights instead.
💡 You may automatically get access to Credit Insights after completing certain actions in your account.
What you’ll see in Credit Insights
Your dashboard includes a snapshot of your credit health:
Credit score
- Your current credit score and recent changes since the last update
Credit factors

Key areas that impact your score, such as:
- Payment history
- Credit utilization
- Account age
- Recent credit inquiries
- Number of accounts
Recent changes
- Updates like new accounts, balance changes, or missed payments (if applicable).
Account balances
- A breakdown of balances across different types of credit (such as loans or credit cards).
How often your information updates
Your credit information is refreshed regularly to keep it up to date.
💡 Your score and details may not update every day, but will reflect recent changes over time.
What to do if something looks incorrect
If you notice information that doesn’t look right, you’ll need to contact the credit bureau directly to review or dispute it.
- Open Credit Insights in your account.
- Select the option indicating your information may be incorrect.
- Follow the instructions to submit a dispute with the credit bureau.
📌 Credit Insights uses data from a credit bureau, so updates or corrections must be made through them.
How to turn off Credit Insights
You can turn off Credit Insights at any time:
- Log in to My Account.
- Click on your name in the upper right corner and select Preferences from the drop-down menu.
- Find the Credit Consent options.
- Toggle off the second option that allows Upstart to monitor your credit health and keep you informed with alerts about changes to your credit profile.
💡 Turning off Credit Insights or your credit report authorization will remove Credit Insights from your My Account dashboard. You will need to return to your Preferences settings and use the Credit Consent toggles to turn it back on again.
